The Real Mr.Glock

Artist and designer Tommy Vercetti is redefining the fire arm culture with Glock, meet the real Mr.Glock.

🏕💯🔫
Not your average glock

The homie killed it with this Dunkin inspired “America Runs On Glock”. When you think about it the statement is very true. This piece has been getting a lot of traction even making its way down to the Tampa Bay Area.

Right back on your ass

The Glock shorts are a definite statement piece. Whether you got the blue, red, or black pair these are essential for the summer time. These are actually how I got put onto the brand, shout out to the homie Moose & Balaclava Boys. With the Champion branding still intact you know the quality is top notch.

Safety first
Team glock

Any “Team Glock” tee is straight fire. My personal favorite is the black tee with the white lettering. My favorite part of the tee is the Glock logo featuring the all around G. Everyone will know you are Pro Glock with this one.

Get it get it
Tommy The Glock Man

Reminiscent of the old school banned Jeezy “Snowman” tees from the back in the day. These “Glock Man” tees are mad nostalgic. The nod to the snowman can still be seen on the barrel of the gun on the tee. Not really a fan of white tees but this is one of them ones.

Live by the Glock die by the Glock
Glock inside my Benz

For me this is the essential Glock fit. You gotta have a “Beware Of Glock” trucker with the matching “Beware Of Glock” tee. Not sure if Tommy has those tees available in a black color way but it’s def next on my hit list.

Glock is slowly making its way down to the Tampa Bay Area and that’s a great sight to see. If I’m not supporting my usual local brands their are a few outside brands I am happy to rep and Glock is one of those for sure.

Try Your Best, Do Your Worst.

Second 2 None is ending out the summer with a crazy sale on totes and tees, with prices ranging from $22.22 2 $33.33.

🏕💯💵
Second 2 None

This brand new red tote features the almighty Kangie on one side and the Second 2 None logo we all know and love. For any supporter of the brand I would definitely pick this 1 up. The devil is in the details.

That’s one dirty sponge
Kangie Spread

Back like he never left, the Sponge Bob tee is back and now available for $33.33. With the quote “Fuck Money, Get Wealthy” this oversized tee will have you on your ‘08 vibes.

The “Pangea” tote is one of my favorite designs. Anytime Second 2 None incorporates the globe or Pangea, it just brings in that world wide flavor the brand represents.

Relax and take notes

The “Note 2 Self” tank top was made for those hot summer days in Cali & FLA. whether your in LA, Miami, or Tampa Bay, the tank is essential.

🏕💯💵😃
Happy 2 Help
Shout out Santana’s Foundation

A few pieces from the “Happy 2 Help” collaboration with Santana’s Foundation are still available on the site. I have a few of the tees already myself but that tote is a definite statement piece. Plus all the proceeds go 2 help Lima, Perú.

$GREY is the way

The Second 2 None X Chopper Gang grey tee is one of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe. I am pretty sure they are sold out at this time, but fingers crossed on that restock.

Kangie is one of my favorite creatives as well as a fellow Floridan so I am always reppin Second 2 None, especially when she drops grey pieces.

727 Classics Review: Johnny Adama- Diamond Dust (The Lost Effect)

Putting his twist on classic beats from the greats like DOOM,Pharrell, and Kanye, On “Diamond Dust” (The Lost Effect), Johnny Adama crafts a Boom Bap masterpiece that sounds like it’s straight out of the 99.

🏕💯💸

The intro “Respect It” has Johnny on his 96 Hov shit. The dusty sample allows Adama to paint that picture of Life in St.Pete. You can tell it’s from a hustlers mentality but the bars are way more than that.

Being a huge DOOM Stan “Envision” is right up my alley. This track reminds me of how Joey Bada$$ would flip old school DOOM instrumentals into tracks of his own. DOOM always has that spaced out boom bap style that would even fit into today’s St.Pete Hip Hop landscape.

“Look For Me” produced by Kanye has Adama on those old school “ 2011 Bonnie & Clyde” vibes. Johnny is able to flip the track so instead of it coming off as a duet it just all Adama.

“Living Proof” produced by Chuck Inglish has Johnny on his more introspective tip. Once the beat really starts going in, Johnny proves he his the best Emcee in the entire Tampa Bay Area. This one is more of a quick hit but that’s really all it needed to be.

“Gold Fans” produced again by Chuck Inglish puts Johnny on more of a story telling vibe. I love the versatility Johnny was showing even back in the day. He can go from just spitting that ill shit to taking us through a day in the burg.

“Money” reunites Adama with his cousin and fellow “GM” member Tjaru over the classic “Get Money” beat. No stranger to Boom Bap production Tjaru always does his thing on a verse, being one of the only features on the album it was a good time to add in a new voice. If you want more “GM” check out their other projects “Introducing” & “Easy Money”.

“Patience” is a song I feel everyone can relate to. We all want the designer drip and the fast cars but can’t have it right now. If we just have patience we will ultimately reach our goals. This song also gives more meaning to the track “Patient” off of “Easy Money”.

“The Dark” produced by The Neptunes puts Johnny in a funkadelic soundscape that also samples a beat DOOM used back in the day. Although Johnny might be trapped in the Darkness, the light will always shine through.

Going over a classic Boom Bap beat from the legendary Ski Beatz, Adama drops his craziest flow on the project so far. The imagery Adama is able to create with his words is just next level. I can pretty much create a video in my head for every track he makes because of how detailed his bars are.

“I Feels” is my favorite track on the entire project. Adama totally destroys the old school 7 Min Freestyle beat that Big L & Jay Z went over back in the day. The hook on this joint brings the whole vibe together. Not everyone can go over this beat and make it their own but homie definitely held it down.

The project closes out with “Everybody Flashin” featuring Rankehne Parr, whose feature on the project is reminiscent of those old school features of the past that would just pop up on the album. It’s just crazy to see that Johnny was on this type of shit back in the day when everyone else was just making trap or swag shit.

Johnny Adama is a on a new wave right now dominating the St.Pete Hip Hop scene since the time of “Diamond Dust”, but the basic elements and core of his style are still intact, now it’s more just a revamped version. If you are tech savvy enough you can still probably find “The Lost Effect” somewhere out there.

We On A Florida Tour!

ALMACÉN is kicking of their vintage Florida Pop Up Tour with who else but REACH right here in Tampa Bay. Word on the street is they are brining over 500 pieces ranging from sports to sci-fi to pretty much any genre you could think of.

🏕💯🙌🏽

Not sure if any of these pieces featured below are still available but I wanted to showcase a few that caught my eye. With over 500 pieces coming to the shop I’m sure y’all will be able to find something.

Fred Smash

Huge fan of “The Flintstones” so the Fred’s Gym tee would definitely be a pick up. I like the lemon lime color way they got going on as well.

Number 1 Super Guy

Like I said previously I am a huge fan of Hanna Barbera cartoons so this “Hong Kong Phooey” tee is a vibe. I really dig the shade of blue they used on this piece.

Viva La Bam

I grew up watching Jackass and Viva La Bam so this “Don Vito For President” is super nostalgic for me. I would always love when Bam would mess with Don Vito or they would always make a stupid bet around food or something.

Wild Thing

They are taking it way back with this one. Before the film even came out “Where The Wild Thing was always one of my favorite childhood books so this one definitely takes me back. That’s what I like so much about vintage it’s like a time machine but one you can wear.

Wolf Pac 🤟🏽

Not just “Crow Sting” but this piece features the N.W.O. Wolf Pac Sting, donning the red and black face paint. Still to this day I am a huge wresting fan, so I am pretty sure this piece would make it in my stack.

The vintage scene in Tampa Bay is really taking off as of late due to the work REACH, Curated Heat, Proper Jones, as well as many others that are pushing the culture forward with the various pop ups and story sales.

Keyz 2 Tha Kartel

With credits like Lil Keed, Yak Gotti, Lil Fancy & E.$krilla under their belt, Tha Key Kartel made up of Santiago Purp, Dinero Tarantino, Thumpmoney, Lethal, 22, Deli Stacks and Heavy Kev are about to be the most dominant super producer group since 808 Mafia.

🏕💯🎹🦅
Keys To The Streets

I love the way the crew is able to bring back that key based Trap flavor to the Tampa Bay, Chicago and Atlanta area. A perfect example of this is on the “Key Kartel Freestyle” by Lil Fancy featuring Woo Da Savage and E.$krilla. The way Dinero attacks the keys is like no other. I really mess with that new “rager” sound he’s been experimenting with as of lately.

Santiago Purp kills it, incorporating flutes and other instruments into the production Purp brings it all together with the hard hitting drums. He’s also a really dope DJ catch him at all the High Tolerance ENT shows, he has the crowd jumping.

Deli Stacks adds jazz and sample elements into his production creating almost a trap/boom bap vibe to the beat.

22 is on some futuristic shit. That spaced out trap sound is really on the rise so 22 is definitely at the forefront of that.

Thumpmoney is very versatile with his approach to production. He can make the club records, the vibe records and the street records.

Heavy Kev is the hit maker of the crew. He doesn’t just make the generic shit, he’s always adding in new sounds to make the beat sound well rounded. He’s got that new joint “Say My Name” with Lil Fancy dropping this weekend.

Lil Fancy

My favorite artists Tha Key Kartel works with are Lil Fancy and E.$krilla (Free $krilla). The hard hitting key based production fits Fancy and $krilla so well that’s why they are two of the biggest names on both sides of the bay.

I would love to see Tha Key Kartel link up with some St.Pete artists to create some magic. Check out their project “Keys To The Streets” as well as all of their beat pages for more fire.

813 Essentials Review: Fettisuo- Crybaby Suo

My favorite thing about the Tampa Bay Hip Hop scene from both sides of the bay is that all the artists out here really doing shit all have their own niche and lane. On “Crybaby Suo” Fettisuo lays down the foundation for what could be the start of FLA/Tampa Bay Drill.

🏕💯🌐🍼

The intro puts the listener into those crybaby vibes off rips. Everyone is on Suo’s ass he just can’t catch a break.

Some artists can’t pull off those sing songy tracks without coming off corny. On “Sing 4 Me” Suo makes it sound organic, like it’s just another style in his bag.

“Don’t Deal With The Devil” featuring the homie Flex Winter is a feel good anthem for sure. Since we live on the West Coast of Florida it’s always dope to see artists add in that West Coast feel good flavor.

This one is really for the ladies. I love all the 813 and 727 references on this track for all the ladies Suo & Frankie got. Any time Frankie X graces the track with his vocals it always enhances a track. At first you just hear his vocals and then he starts spitting and your like damn homie is spazzing.

“Rain” featuring the amazing Michela Paladio is on some laid back vibes. I love the “Can I Live” sample on the beat, as well as the “Rain On Me” by Ashanti reference. This is one of my favorite joints off the project. I would love to see them go back and shoot a video for it. Once Suo starts singing in the middle, the track forms into a duet between himself and Michela.

Again Outside World ENT always kills it with the skits and interludes, making their projects feel complete as well as painting the picture they are trying to tell with the project.

This is the part in the project where the Drill vibes slowly start coming out. I don’t think I’ve ever heard an RnB Drill track but “Crying” might be the first of its kind. The beat is totally on some Drill shit while the vocals, lyrics, and cadence are RnB. A vibe for sure.

I am a huge fan of Chi & NY Drill so the fact that Suo is bringing his own FLA/Tampa Bay flavor to the scene. I don’t know anyone else really make Drill music in general this good so it’s only a matter of time before this shit blows up. Paying homage to the late Pop Smoke a NY Drill pioneer on “3am in Canarsie (R.I.P. Pop Smoke)” is Suo honoring the legends that paved the way but also showing the world that Tampa Bay got something to say.

This joint might be my favorite track Suo has dropped to date. The video for “Reverse” brought this joint to another level, brining the whole vision together. For me this shit classic at this point.

“Suo 2X” is on some late night creeper shit. I love the energy on this joint, the beat is very menacing and Suo is able to match that flawlessly. This one has big anthem vibes.

“Icey Icey” is one of those tracks made for the live show. The pit will be opened up for sure as soon as the hook hits. Indie Indigo has been killing his features over the past few years and this one is just another feather in his cap.

Whenever Fettisuo & Richie Guapo collab it’s always a favorite for me since their probably 2 of my top 3 out of the 813. The beat on “Hot Guap” sounds like Suo and Guapo are spitting in a Trill Casino or at the players ball . Definitely a standout.

The “Nutz4Sale Skit” reminds me of those classic interludes from the past and fits with the radio host theme we have been vibing with the whole time. Straight out the 99!

“U & Yo Friend” featuring Billy Banks transports me back to some old school Cali vibes but it’s more on some Tampa shit. The sexual lyrics and themes complete the vibe as well as still make sense in the context of the project.

“Suo Baby” featuring the one and only YZM was the perfect way to end out the album. This track has so many styles and sounds but it doesn’t sound scattered, holding true to the Drill elements while pushing the sub genre forward. It was dope hearing YZM on this type of production.

Fetti Suo has continued to push the Sub Genre of Drill forward with his most recent project “Tantrums” produced entirely by AYO8, which you will for sure see on my Top EPs on the year list. Fettisuo is one of my favorite artists in the scene so you know the camp will keep it locked for whatever he’s dropping next.

What’s Your Flavor?

Anita’s Raspados has unveiled tons of new flavors over the past few weeks. Here are a few that caught my eye and that I will be trying next visit.

🏕💯🍧
Purple Haze

I was able to get a taste of this one at the re grand opening and it’s already a favorite. The taro base with the ube condensed milk adds a unique but familiar flavor. The Mochi bite topping brings it all together. Everything purple.

🏕💯🍧🍑

With it being stone fruit season one of my most anticipated flavors to try is the Peach Raspados. With chunks of fresh peach for the topping and all natural peach flavoring this one is essential for the summer. Word on the street is it’s one of Anna’s favorites.

🏕💯🍧🍓

This Coconut and Strawberry raspados during those hot summer days. This is an interesting combination that I might try more often.

🏕💯🍫

The Mexican chocolate and vanilla raspados has a very unique flavor. It’s not creamy like ice cream so the chocolate flavored ice is a nice change of pace.

🏕💯🏝

The Passion Fruit raspados is a tropical fruit flavor explosion. Featuring mango and pineapple, this one was made for the summer time.

Come out to Anita’s Raspados to get the only authentic raspados in the Tampa Bay Area, tell Anna Jit Camp set you!

NML Part II

In the effort to help spread the message and story of “No More Land” the project to stop homelessness, Jit Camp will be doing heavy coverage as the project and the vision progresses.

🏕💯

This accordion like backpack called “Melina” by David Shantz is able to bloom out into a tent, working as a portable shelter. Possibly if a slimmer design was made allowing for food and supplies to be stored in the pack this could be an ideal solution.

Shoes with an expiration date by Laura Muth

These expiring shoes designed by Laura Muth are made with locally sourced compostable materials. These shoes are a step in the right direction. Possibly if No More Land pick up centers are made, the shoes could be distributed from those centers and once the shoe has expired you could return them for a new pair and so on.

Blow sofa by Malafor

This inflatable sofa could be used to take a rest on your long journey. If the sofa included a surrounding shelter I feel this might be the way to go. This would not be ideal for wet climates but if some materials are changed around it could be possible. The portable aspect I feel is it’s best feature. The material is made up of 100% recycled paper.

Micro Houses by Ken Isaacs

If some how you could make the micro houses deflatable or able to be compacted down possibly into a back pack this could be the true answer. The portable aspect of the structures would be the only thing holding you back on your journey.

🏕💯🗿

The frame backpack was essential for living in the past so why not use those techniques for design inspiration.

Micro installations by no studio

These micro installations transform concrete stairs into rest places. Tying in with the backpack theme, if you could somehow design a back pack to be placed on the stairs inflating or folding out would make this concept more accessible. It’s definitely on the right track though because people living on the streets would be more comfortable on these than the stairs.

Ancient Fish Trap, Tule Moccasin and basket

I definitely like the utilitarianism of the moccasin. I feel if redesigned you would have to make it water proof allowing the moccasin to be used on foot again without soaking your feet.

Archisuits by Sarah Ross

These suits against hostile architecture is pretty much a similar to what I was talking about with the micro installations except instead of it being the entire bodysuit it should just be a backpack.

🏕💯

Urban Nomads by Winfried Baumann is a vibe. Who says you can be homeless and fresh right. This new line of drip would build the self esteem of everyone involved.

🏕💯

This cardboardigami, collapsible cardboard homeless shelters are a step in the right direction. The only problem I see is it being able to be sustainable in harsh weather conditions. Also you could combine this with the accordion tent featured earlier allowing for easy transportation. Same sort of idea with these if you bring your damaged or expired shelter to the possible No More Land centers you would be given a fresh new one.

🏕💯
Cozy 🏕💯☁️

This RELY fold out sleeping unit by Chen Zhu Jung allows you to have shelter as well as being your supplies for the journey. I dig the easy to transport aspect allowing for quick and easy travel. If you could find a way to enclose the shelter part for harsh conditions this could definitely be the way to go.

These Lasso Flat Packed wool slippers are more stylish than the sustainable footwear previously explored but I am not sure how well they would work in harsh climates. I feel like a croc or foam style would be the way to go.

🏕💯
Sleepy

This “Backpack Relax” backpack designed by Maya Prokhorova is a step up it seems in comfort. It seems that backpack that creates a shelter would be a more ideal design but if you could some how add in a pillow feature to the shelter forming backpack you would be good to go.

I feel once the idea for the portable shelter design is fully formed the best way for No More Land to get the gear out to people would be NML Centers where people could receive and return their items to help them continue their journey.

Three D Swayze- King Boo! Album Review

One of my favorite collectives in the entire Tampa Bay Hip Hop scene is Outside World ENT. Repping the 813, the labels head honcho Outside Illz has formed one of the most versatile rosters ever assembled. On his latest project “King Boo!” Three D Swayze brings those feel good Southern Hip Hop vibes that are bound to have all the functions jumpin.

🏕💯🌐👻

After the intro the project starts off with “68 Olympics” featuring a dope melodic hook from Swayze. The zany way in which Swayze spits really sets him apart from the other members of Outside World and the other artists in the Tampa Bay Scene.

“Kids Say The Darnest Things” is just a straight up banger. Some aspects of the track reminds me a little bit like Flatbush Zombies but if they was on some Dirty South shit. The part when the chicks voice says ghost was a really dope touch.

“Boiled Peanuts” featuring _indie.indigo is the definition of high energy. The double time flow from Indie was a nice addition to the track.

“Fuck Jeff Bezos” is one of my favorite Swayze tracks. After they through that banger in honor of the track how could it not be right. Frankie X always kills it with his vocals. Richie Guapo has been killing with the features this year and this is just another example of that.

Interludes are a lost art in hip hop. I really enjoyed the “Slick Forte Here!” Interlude, it acted as a nice break in the project. Plus Slicks got bills to pay so he def needed the look.

“The Black Tim Taylor” is one of those grimy joints. I could definitely see this one featured in a racing game or maybe even Madden. Would definitely like to see a video for this one.

“Lil Nicky” featuring Tayism has a dope like intimate night club vibe. I could see Swayze and the gang performing this in front of a crowd, especially that hook! It’s on some Gotham City shit.

“Starfox 64” is another one of my favorite tracks off the project. Swayze’s flow was just made fir that glistening beat. The video they shot for this one was also really dope and brings the whole vibe together.

The structure of “Moon Children” is different. The track starts off slow, but ones the beat really starts going Swayze starts ripping it. Just as fast as he came in Swayze fades out and we are met once again with the beat from the beginning.

“Cash Coma” featuring Fettisuo is my favorite Swayze track to date. This one literally brought me to “Luigi’s Mansion”. The glistening keys on the beat are right up my alley. Fettisuo pulls up and rips the track as always. The whole Tampa Bay Area needs a video for this joint, it’s one of them ones.

“A Hearts Heavy Burden” shows of Swayze versatility. Bringing in Michaela to do the hook and additional vocals brings the whole track together and I couldn’t picture anyone else on it. It really feels like a duet. The different meanings of love at the end of the song was a nice way to end it out.

The sporadic flow Swayze uses on “Hannah Baker” has him sounding like a mad man.

“Summer Time Crusin” was the perfect way to end off the project. Whether your riding around the burg or the 813 everyone can relate to this track. Swayze killed it on the vocals for this one with those early 2000s vibes.

Whatever is next to drop from Swayze and the rest of the Outside World ENT family you can bet we will cover it over at the Camp. Outside World is always bringing that pressure, Big Tampa Bay shit!

REACHing Your Goals.

After a slew of successful Pop Ups over the past few years. The homies at REACH are prepping for their biggest Pop Up yet at Neiman Marcus in International Mall!

🏕💯🙌🏽

This is a REACH only event so if you want any of those other brands you just gotta pull up to the shop. There will be tons of 1 of 1 pieces as well as other exclusive items that are being made specifically for this event.

Sneaker of the year no bap
BecarefulwhatyouREACHfor

They have been teasing it for months now but the Air REACH 2.0s are back. This was my sneaker of the year last year, mainly due to the design and overall story that was told with their campaign. I can guarantee these will sell out instantly so don’t sleep. Hopefully Jit can get his hands on a 9.5. These are a definite statement piece. I also got word that those custom Levi Jordan 4s might also be at the event.

So many color ways
Limited socks
Don’t Trip

What’s a dope sneaker drop without some limited socks. Four new sock color ways are dropping this time with the signature R we all know and respect. The color ways are red, blue, black, and green. Since I have pretty much all their past sock releases and am a huge fan of limited socks, these are a must. My favorite has got to be the red on white so I can rock em with the 2.0s. You know I’m rockin REACH to the socks.

1 of 1s available

Justin has been posting a couple 1 of 1 bucket hats he’s been working on in the dungeon lately. That blue one he had at the Miami Pop Up was brazy but this new cargo one that they have been teasing is a game changer. Anytime they add on the REACH demon claws to a design via distressing I am a fan of. I love that they always stay true to the core elements of the brand that being one of them.

Keep on REACHing

Not exactly sure the name of this shirt drop but I’m gonna call it the “Dark Forest”. That orange moon is really hitting different, almost on some pre Halloween vibes. It would be dope if they had a purple color way available. Again the homies always kill it with the branding.

And if all that wasn’t enough the homies are bringing more pressure with some REACH denim on display as well. I am not sure if it’s those green joints they have been teasing out. No one does distressing like REACH their pieces have their own vibe and style. People might bitch about the price but everything is Made In REACH so you gotta pay to play my boy.

🏕💯🙌🏽🎨
Smoker

Shop staple Hunt’s Fabrications will also be bringing out some exclusives to the Pop Up. I know Big Hunt has been working on some new techniques to add in more flavor to his amazing pieces. If that smoker piece is still available I definitely might have to finally pull the trigger on that one.

REACH Way

REACH is more than a brand and a store to me it’s a way of life at this point. The quality and story Justin and Edwin tell with each piece is untouchable in the game at this point. Not to mention my favorite shopping experience every time I pull up to the shop. This shit really is a movement. So with that being said if you really support Tampa Bay creatives and want to see the area grow culturally I would say this is a can’t miss event. Even if you don’t pick up product, at least come out, show love, and be apart of this monumental Pop Up. Congrats again to the entire REACH family, this is only the beginning. Everything is Made In REACH!
