The Whole Jit Fit

To bring their “Florida Jit” fitted collab full circle, the homies at REACH are doing a “Vice City” Pop Up with the man himself Smokepurrp at 305 Kicks, right in time for Rolling Loud Weekend.

🏕💯🙌🏽🦇🍊
Vice City

To go along with the “Florida Jit” fitted cap, REACH unveiled a small companion capsule featuring a “Vice City” tee and shorts to make the complete Jit Fit. I support anything Made In REACH so Jit will definitely be picking up the entire capsule if I can get my hands on it.

Miami Nights

I am trying to beef up the amount of white pieces I have in my wardrobe, so this new “Vice City” tee will fit right in. You can rock this shirt with or without the fitted but the hat makes the complete Jit Fit. This piece is essential for any beach day or summer function.

Limited shorts

The red “Script” shorts from REACH are hands down my favorite shorts I own, and I am sure these new “Vice City” ones will be no different. The black color way and minimalist approach allows these shorts to be rocked with any fit.

FLA Statement Piece
Made In REACH

This fitted right here mane is can’t miss. The “Cigar City Champions” is still my fav because that’s what made me first love REACH but being Jit Camp I def need one of these. These caps are essential for any “Florida Jit”.

I personally can’t make it to the Pop Up so hopefully Jit can get his hands on the capsule, but if you happen to be in the 305 for the weekend festivities, I would highly recommend pullin up on my bruthers and show love. Everything is Made In REACH.

I Can Feel It In The Night Air

After the huge success of the Pop up at Another Barely Legal Show, Night Air is gearing up for a Pop Up of their own at The Factory St.Pete on 7/28 from 5 to 9 P.M.

🏕💯🌚⏰
That all around tee is one of them ones

The pieces I am most looking forward to at the pop up are the all around N/A logo print surrounding the entire piece. See on Kid Dre and Flex Winter this is definitely an essential for any supporter of the brand.

Pick a card

The “Deck Of Heart” sweatshirt is definitely gonna be the vibe once winter comes, so stock up now before they gone. My favorite is the red color way.

X-RAY

I also plan on picking up the classic Night Air black hat to go along with my all around logo piece. If the X-Ray tee in the purple color way is available I plan on picking up that one as well. Anytime Night Air uses those 50s style comics on their pieces they have my money, I def love the vibe. Would def like to see a restock on the “Missin The City” drop that piece a favorite, I would love to see it make its way onto a midnight blue tee.

Thriftkiss 🏕💯💋

Thriftkiss will also have a few racks on display with some product available at the pop up. As you can see Landkiss is definitely applying that pressure. I am more looking to stock up on N/A gear but I will for sure scope out some gems at the thrift rack

Bangin on wax

Pretty much any piece featuring the Night Air logo is a must. I would definitely like to see the brand get some more love over in the 727 and I for sure feel this pop up is gonna do that.

Big PERM$

Richie Guapo is showing the world how Florida keeps it Trill, with his new brand PERM$ Skateboards.

🏕💯🛹

Skate brands are nothing new to the street wear game but the Trill element Richie Guapo brings to the game, adds a new element to the sub genre. If anyone was gonna make a Trill brand it would have to be Guapo, his EP “Hot Boy Summer” is a FLA Underground Hip Hop classic and is widely recognized with bringing back Trill especially when it comes to FLA.

Feelin like Bam
Trill

My personal favorite tee so far is the black tee with that classic PERM$ logo on the front. That purple and gold just hit different on the black. This one is essential for any Tampa Bay Jit on their Trill shit.

That blue hit diff
Candy Paint

The blue on these tees is something I don’t think I’ve quite seen before. It’s got that old school bowling ball look, which definitely adds to the Trill vibe. I also really respect how first and for most this is a skate brand, keeping it true to all three elements that make up the brand Florida, Trill, and skating.

Big 813 shit
Zaza green

I am pretty sure the green color way is sold out at the movement but fingers crossed on a restock. This one has that old school pool table felt material color to it. Reminding me of the classic 8ball and MJG cover. The red on the PERM$ logo just has a different vibe on this piece.

The board match my shirt
White on white

You can never go wrong with a white tee. That purple and gold really shines on this piece. I am trying to beef up my white tee game so this simple PERM$ logo tee might be the latest piece I add to my collection.

Hot Boy Summer 2 otw
Guapito
Stacked track list

Just in time for the highly anticipated “Hot Boy Summer 2” Guapo is dropping the official tee shirt for the album, featuring the track list on the back. You definitely don’t want to miss out on this historic tee, I am sure once it’s gone it’s gone.

I am really hype that someone else in the Tampa Bay Area really feels as strongly as I do about keeping it Trill. PERM$ is keepin it Trill in the 813 and Prx Jit is holdin it down in the 727. Together both brands are proving FLA can still keep it Trill.

Nothing Lasts Forever

On the “Love Dies Too EP”, Baewxlff brings a slugged Cloud Rap to the Tampa Bay Hip Hop scene.

🏕💯🌙

The airy vibe of Cloud Rap is something I have always felt Tampa Bay Hip Hop should tap into, especially since it’s my favorite sub genre. I really dig the more washed out synth vibes used on “Forever, Ever?”. The slugged out vocals are dope addition to the track. I could see this track being used in a Safdie Bros film.

“Muse” is a little bit more laid back than the first track. The vocals on this one have a little bit of a Lil Ugly Mane vibe, mixing the Trill with the Cloud.

“Pleasure” featuring Lil Scumbag is my favorite track on the project. The hook is for sure a standout. I would really love to see what Baewxlff & Lil Scumbag would do with a full project or small EP. The city needs a video for this one.

Baewxlff and Lil Scumbag run it back on “Cobain”, another standout joint on the project. This one is super slugged out, I really dug the middle portion on the track, the way Lil Scumbag pronounces “I” with that slugged out reverb added to it is a vibe for sure. Shout out to Sean.MP3.

“Off It” adds a little versatility to the album, with more upbeat production, but the vocals are still slugged out. The hook is really catchy and almost has an anthem vibe to it. If this shit came on at a show it would be lit for sure.

“everythingisgonnabealright“ featuring Cogi was a nice way to end out the project, with the most slugged out vocals we have heard so far. The final verse on the track was really inspiring. At the end of the day everything is gonna be alright!

Really love the Slug Rap & Cloud Rap elements Baewxlff is bringing to the scene. I am highly anticipating a full project or collab project from the homie. Would love to see him drop a brazy instrumental album on some Clams Casino “Rainforest EP” vibes. If your in Tampa definitely slide through to the Sound Gallery for any production or engineering needs the homies got you.

Jet Set Garbäj Future.

The good people at Garbäj are back, blessing us with some new gear for the summer time with a tie dye drop as well as a tube top and muscle tee release,

🏕💯♻️
Drip

Tye dye is having a bit of a renaissance lately so I am glad to see Garbäj showing their take on the tie dye tee. I have never seen the method they used done before, with instead of the whole piece being one or two colors the whole piece has various splotches. That yellow color way hits a different but I will probably end up picking both pieces.

Boycott Caustic Castle

Being in Florida, muscle tees and tanks are essential. We must stop Caustic Castle at all cost so now you can rock your “Boycott Caustic Castle” shirt in the heat. This more navy color way is a great addition to the already classic OG “Boycott Caustic Castle” shirt.

Can you feel the sunshine

Finally tube tops will be available for the first time. Adding into that cool summer vibe, the tops are hand printed and sewn with water based inks using recycled fabrics that are (100%) cotton. This yellow color way is really dope, I love how much Garbäj has been incorporated yellow lately.

The world of Garbäj is opening up more and more. I am very excited to see what the future holds as well as what new gear becomes available down the road.

Imma Florida Jit

Building off of their game changing “Cigar City Champions” Devil Rays fitted, the homies at REACH are back applying that pressure with a fitted any “Florida Jit” can get behind.

Year Of The Jit

Inspired by just Jit activity in general as well as the Smokepurrp album with the same title, the fitted comes in two colors ways Black and Vice City Blue. Personally I am a die hard Rays fan and won’t rep any of their rival teams, but since the “Florida Marlins” don’t exist any more and I am Jit Camp it seems like a no brainer.

FAF
Puttem Up
The R is essential

The black is pretty much rockable with any fit. I like how the side embroidery pops more on the black, with small hits of pink, blue and green. Anytime REACH uses a hand or any grabbing image to signify the brand I think that is the dopest shit, similar to their game changing Air REACH campaign.

Splash
Vice City

The “Vice City Blue” is probably the most have one if I had to pick out of the two. The pink and blue together just hit different. Again I am in no way a Marlins fan but this fitted is so dope imma still pick it up no bap.

Overall amazing release as always from the homies over at REACH, every drop is a statement piece. Can’t wait to see the commercial they got lined up for the roll out featuring Smokepurrp, on some Florida shit. Big shout out to REACH for always holding down the Tampa Bay Area no matter what. Everything is Made In REACH!

Raspados 4L

Anita’s Raspados is bringing the traditional Mexican shaved ice dessert Raspados to the 727!

Located at 4443 54th Ave N.
Strawberry Sweet

The name raspados comes from the utensil used to shave the ice a raspar or shaver. The ice creates a cool refreshing sensation that doesn’t leave you full or sluggish like other cooler desserts. You can see why the delicious dessert is a staple at Mexican stores, markets, and street vendors as a great way to cool down on a hot day. Anita’s is the first location in the St.Petersburg Area serving traditional raspados

Strawberry and Pineapple are a perfect pair
Matcha Raspados anyone?

Anna the owner of Anita’s is using the freshest and healthiest ingredients to create the traditional flavors we all know and love like strawberry, mango, and pineapple, but she is also experimenting with some new flavors like the new Matcha raspados featured above. I would love to see maybe a strawberry kiwi or prickly pear flavor added to the menu or even as a special. With raspados the flavor combinations and additions are endless.

Mangonada is essential

Anita’s Raspados is planning a grand re opening on 7/15 to show the entire St.Petersburg community how special raspados can be for everyone. Anna and the rest of the family have been hard at work honing their craft in preparation for the event. So come out to Anita’s Raspados on 7/15 to cool down and enjoy a refreshing Raspados.

727 Classics Review: Crown Marquiss & Famous Kid Brick- Local Fame

There are moments in music when two of the biggest artists in the game join forces to create a classic. Whether it’s Jay & Ye on “Watch The Throne” or Drake and Future on “What A Time To Be Alive”. In my city of the 727 two St.Pete Hip Hop pioneers Crown Marquiss from Local Muzik and Famous Kid Brick from FAF join forces to create the classic “Local Fame”.

🏕💯👑⭐️

At this time in the St.Pete Hip Hop scene Brick was and still to this day was the biggest hit maker in the city, from classics like “I B Rollin” and “I’m On It” just to name a few. Crown and the rest of the Locals was taking over the city in their own right with immortal projects like “Live From The Southside” and the best visuals in the game courtesy of the $GREY GOAT Robert Gallardo. When FAF and Local Muzik come together it’s destined to be one of them ones.

The opening track “Woke Up” is for sure on some Local shit with the beat provided by old school Wiz regular Johnny Juliano. This was a great way to start the project with both Brick and Crown in their bag. Brick really went in on his verse and hook. A dope animation video for this track would have been a vibe back in the day. One of my favorite lines from Crown was “I’m shining like I’m embedded in Crest”!

The self titled track “Local Fame” is definitely one of them ones. I really dug how both Crown and Brick went back to back on the hook and then ripped their verses. This track reminds me of the way Jadakiss and Styles P would spit on a track but if it was on some 727 shit. Dis the anthem, dis the dis the anthem!!!!

“Brief Intermission” has both Brick and Crown on their spitter shit. No hook no bullshit, both of em went so brazy it’s hard to say who went in the hardest. It was a nice touch was how the the track went on the tempo of their flows went faster until the end.

When FAF and Local Muzik get in the building you know they had to do one for the ladies. “Make It Right” was a nice change of pace for the album at this point, after the barrage of bars.

“Sippin” featuring Traxx will still knock in the club to this day. Brick’s hooks always get stuck in your head and you’ll be singing them all at work and shit. Traxx was a really nice addition to the song adding in some streets shit.

“I Do This” is one of them old school dance records. I could see jits now making a jerk or dance video to this one. That tricks line Brick had was bonkers. I love hearing Crown on these more hype tracks it shows how versatile he can be.

“Hands Down” is my shit man. The best part is during like mid verse Crown will just say “Hands Down”. Brick comes through on the end of the track and does his thing. Brick had a cold ass line when he said “These Hoes trusting me and Crown like we running in the election”.

“Bass” is just on some flex shit. When you ride down Central Ave this shit needs to be on full blast so the whole city can feel the bass. Crown always has those wacky lines like “I’m a vampire but I eat garlic” that has you rollin, he’s always been on that abstract shit.

I really enjoyed how Brick and Crown changed up the hook with both of them on “Trickin Off” . This one is sort of like best of both worlds. You get the hard hitting verses from both emcees but then when they come together on the hook it’s still some anthem hype shit.

The final track on the project is produced by the legend himself Lil Keis “R.I.P”. Crown’s flow on “RNS” was brazy. I love the confidence in his delivery, you can really feel he knows he’s one of the best. Brick slowed down his verse as well so we can peep everything he is saying, on some FAF shit.

Almost a decade later and Brick and Crown are still two of the most revered artists not only in Tampa Bay but in the whole game. Local Muzik and FAF til you get annoyed.

Second Saturdays At The Factory: July Edition

One of my favorite monthly events in the St.Pete Area are the Second Saturday Art Walks hosted by The Factory St.Pete. Each month allows the artists that call The Factory home an opportunity to share what they have been working on recently or just have great conversations.

🏕💯🎨

I didn’t get a chance to see this piece at last month’s Juneteenth event but shout out to The Factory for still having it showcased. Zulu Painter really did his thing with this one, it’s a collage on a grander scale.

LeRoy Land

It’s always a great time chatting it up with Lucky LeRoy on whatever theme he’s got going on in Leroy Land that Saturday. Leroy had many of his pieces showcased this month featuring his interpretation on Pop Art and the works of Andy Warhol. The Hugh Hefner piece as well as the Anna Nicole Smith piece are some of my favorites. With all that “Drip” talk in pop culture nowadays, LeRoy’s “Giuliani Drip” piece is definitely a splash.

Flawda Boy
ND Art Life

Jae The Creative had a couple of pieces on display, I really dug the “Flawda Boy” piece and her color pallet choice, the orange is a big vibe. ND Art Life also showcased a few pieces, he had on display for the Juneteenth event. I can’t wait to see what he brings to the Fairgrounds St.Pete.

Collages are mad slept on
🔥

Two of my favorite Second Saturday regulars are Fsquared Ceramics and The Nature Of Fire. Ashley had a couple new dope collage pieces on display. I love the goldish tint on her piece “… It’s From Within!” made with Stoneware clay. I enjoy the simplistic brush work Fsquared uses on some of his pieces, it gives off a calming feeling.

Happy Soul
3rd Eye Sharp

I have seen Myiah Pink’s art work at a couple of the $lugged $ound$ events held at the BTMVLE Studio but it was really dope to see everything come full circle. I remember telling her about The Factory a couple of months back and now her work is being shown there. Happy Soul is definitely a vibe.

Dying out west
Cloud talk
Summer vybz

Anytime my bruthers at Before The Storm Studio are doing a pop up or event you know Jit will be in the building. After the historic “Life In The Desert” fashion show at the Juneteenth event, the homies are back with a BTS logo tee as well as those must have shorts for the summer, you can never have to many comfortable shorts my g. Also available is the “Velocity” tote featuring one of my favorite cloud designs the gang has used thus far. These dudes are changing the game.

The Power of $2 Dollars

One of my favorite Florida based brands Second 2 None is teaming with Santana’s Foundation and they are “Happy 2 Help”. The brand is setting up a clothes and food drive on July 18 with all the proceeds going to help provinces in Lima, Perú get the basic necessities .

🏕💯💵
Come thru for a plate

Donations of clothing and canned food will be accepted at the event. If you donate 2 Winter Clothing items or 6 canned goods you will receive a free plate and drink of some authentic Peruvian food. Peruvian favorites like Ceviche and Papa A La Huancaína are all being served up by Kangie’s mom, so you know it’s the real deal. So pull up with your “Pangea” tote filled with canned goods.

2 Legit 2 Quit
Put a smile on your face

2 go along with the drive, Second 2 None is dropping 2 “Happy 2 Help” inspired pieces, a white tee featuring the “Happy 2 Help” smiley. A yellow tote is also being included in the drop. I would love to see an all yellow “Happy 2 Help” tee in the future. Lima, Perú is also featured under the design.

Money Spread
Cuddlin with tha paper

If that wasn’t enough pressure Second 2 None also just dropped the “Sponge Bob” tee featuring the motto “Fuck Money, Get Wealthy”. The OG sponge is also holding a fist full of Kangie $2 Dollars. If you don’t get this shirt 2 sizes 2 big than you ain’t doing it right.

Big shout out 2 Kangie, Second 2 None, & Santana’s Foundation for being here 2 help those in need.
