Three D Swayze- King Boo! Album Review

One of my favorite collectives in the entire Tampa Bay Hip Hop scene is Outside World ENT. Repping the 813, the labels head honcho Outside Illz has formed one of the most versatile rosters ever assembled. On his latest project “King Boo!” Three D Swayze brings those feel good Southern Hip Hop vibes that are bound to have all the functions jumpin.

🏕💯🌐👻

After the intro the project starts off with “68 Olympics” featuring a dope melodic hook from Swayze. The zany way in which Swayze spits really sets him apart from the other members of Outside World and the other artists in the Tampa Bay Scene.

“Kids Say The Darnest Things” is just a straight up banger. Some aspects of the track reminds me a little bit like Flatbush Zombies but if they was on some Dirty South shit. The part when the chicks voice says ghost was a really dope touch.

“Boiled Peanuts” featuring _indie.indigo is the definition of high energy. The double time flow from Indie was a nice addition to the track.

“Fuck Jeff Bezos” is one of my favorite Swayze tracks. After they through that banger in honor of the track how could it not be right. Frankie X always kills it with his vocals. Richie Guapo has been killing with the features this year and this is just another example of that.

Interludes are a lost art in hip hop. I really enjoyed the “Slick Forte Here!” Interlude, it acted as a nice break in the project. Plus Slicks got bills to pay so he def needed the look.

“The Black Tim Taylor” is one of those grimy joints. I could definitely see this one featured in a racing game or maybe even Madden. Would definitely like to see a video for this one.

“Lil Nicky” featuring Tayism has a dope like intimate night club vibe. I could see Swayze and the gang performing this in front of a crowd, especially that hook! It’s on some Gotham City shit.

“Starfox 64” is another one of my favorite tracks off the project. Swayze’s flow was just made fir that glistening beat. The video they shot for this one was also really dope and brings the whole vibe together.

The structure of “Moon Children” is different. The track starts off slow, but ones the beat really starts going Swayze starts ripping it. Just as fast as he came in Swayze fades out and we are met once again with the beat from the beginning.

“Cash Coma” featuring Fettisuo is my favorite Swayze track to date. This one literally brought me to “Luigi’s Mansion”. The glistening keys on the beat are right up my alley. Fettisuo pulls up and rips the track as always. The whole Tampa Bay Area needs a video for this joint, it’s one of them ones.

“A Hearts Heavy Burden” shows of Swayze versatility. Bringing in Michaela to do the hook and additional vocals brings the whole track together and I couldn’t picture anyone else on it. It really feels like a duet. The different meanings of love at the end of the song was a nice way to end it out.

The sporadic flow Swayze uses on “Hannah Baker” has him sounding like a mad man.

“Summer Time Crusin” was the perfect way to end off the project. Whether your riding around the burg or the 813 everyone can relate to this track. Swayze killed it on the vocals for this one with those early 2000s vibes.

Whatever is next to drop from Swayze and the rest of the Outside World ENT family you can bet we will cover it over at the Camp. Outside World is always bringing that pressure, Big Tampa Bay shit!
