Mr.Bucci

A staple of the High Tolerance ENT lineup 38Bucci is cementing himself as next up in the Florida Underground Hip Hop scene, not only with his skills on the mic, but also on the canvas.

I was first put onto Bucci by my homie Raggy. Eventually I was able to catch a performance from Bucci at the Robb Bank$ show back in August. His energy and charisma set him apart from the rest of the performers at the show, playing some of his classics records like “Ela$tic” and “$moke Dope”.

I feel Bucci’s sound is the future of FLA Underground. The mesh of trap vibes with that Trill FLA esthetic, is very need in the scene. Tracks like “IDK How 2 Feel” & “Don’t Era$e” are great examples of that trill sound.

On his latest joint “No Hook Part One”, Bucci is on his story telling shit, bringing the listener into the trenches with Bucci over an atmospheric beat. The visuals for the track really brings the track together, showing that Bucci is really bout that shit.

Not being confined to just one lane Bucci also creates 1 of 1 art pieces on canvas as well as on clothing. Often dabbling in abstract themes, Bucci’s work always feels fresh and unlike his previous piece. I really dig that fact that everything is just 1 of 1 work, not confining Bucci to the constraints of a brand.

With the constant amount of pressure Bucci releases, it’s only a matter of time before he’s headlong his own FLA tours and doing full art shows or pop ups of his own pieces. It’s very rare that you meet genuinely dope people in the FLA scene but Bucci is a real one for sure.

MM..GROCERIES

A continuation of his “100 Items” NFT projects, Robert Gallardo calls back to his 2014 “Food” art show with the “100 Grocery Items” NFT drop.

From bacon to bagels, Rob hits all of the five food groups on this project. My favorite thing about all of Rob’s releases are he drops stuff that everyone can pretty much afford. Yes, there are bigger ticket projects, like the “User Interface” collection from earlier this year, but his last like 4 collections all offer tokens ranging at or under $100. We always see high profile projects like “Bored Apes” and so on but Rob be on his “Blue Collar Minter” shit.

I’ve got my eye on a few of the tokens featured in this collection. PB&J is a go to for me and being a Grape guy, especially for Smucker’s “Concord Grape Jelly”, I will more than likely be picking up that one piece.

I was just thinking the other day how dank “Jiffy” muffins used to be when I was a jit. From the blueberry to the corn they are all fire. Back in the day my pops would whip up a batch of those blueberry flavor, something about the blueberries they put in the muffins just makes them hit different. This piece is at the top of my favorites list.

The fact that this collection harkens back to Rob’s art show “Food” which was his take on various foods from the culture is what makes this collection my favorite he has done this far in his “100 Items” series. Just based on that the “Goya” and the “Beef Ramen” pieces are on my wishlist.

It’s really special to see Rob go back into the archive to mint some of his older work into NFTs for his supporters to enjoy and show off. It would be crazy to see the “10 Commandments” collection get its own drop, as well as the highly influential “Purple Children” cover arts, his collab projects with DJ Slim K make their way onto the Opensea marketplace. $GREY is the future!

Everyone That Wants A Cowboy Hoodie, Will Get A Cowboy Hoodie.

With a slew of tees and collabs under their belt this year, the good people at Cowboy By Takeo are ending the year with some minimalistic logo hoodies to get you right for winter.

The hoodies will be releasing in black, tan, and grey color ways and are available for pre order until 12/10. Cowboy usually does at least one big long sleeve drop a year. Since I missed out on last years crew neck drop, I will more than likely be pulling the trigger on this latest drop.

Since it’s Grey Gang all day, the grey hoodie is my favorite piece from the drop. The Cowboy logo takes front and center on, with another logo hit on the right wrist. That from pocket will come in clutch during them really cold days in early January.

Can’t go wrong with just a simple black hoodie. I feel the Cowboy logo hits the best on the black piece, giving off a clean look that can be rocked daily.

Mostly know for using louder colors like red and yellow it was dope to see Cowboy incorporate this tan color way into the hoodie drop. The versatility of outfit combos you could put together with the tan piece are pretty much endless, keeping it minimal but still adding in enough color to not make it dull.

With no signs of slowing down in 2022, Cowboy By Takeo constantly proves over and over again with each release that you can’t box the homies into just one lane. Big congratulations to all the success the team has seen over this past year, 2022 is only going to be bigger. “Everyone that wants Cowboy will be able to get a Cowboy”.

See You In The Boneyard

Already a staple of the NFT landscape, Sebastian Coolidge & Vault 813 join forces to create the “Billionaire Bones Club” NFT collection, the only NFT collection dressing their token holders in the hottest sneakers and clothing.

Over the last few months Sebastian Coolidge has been dropping his own NFT collections such as the “CryptoDazeys” and “The Titty Box”, both of which are dope in their own right. For this project Coolidge is providing the art work for each of the “Billionaire Bone” pieces and Vault 813 will be providing the drip that is randomly given out to the token holders, bringing one of Tampa Bays dopest artists together with one of the areas most recognized boutiques. The 5,000 unique skulls that offer permanent and and ongoing awards.

What I like most about this project is not only do you get a piece of dope original artwork from Coolidge but you also will potentially get some dope sneakers or designer wear from Vault813. My favorite part of the whole NFT experience is when token holders also receive physical items or other incentives for being a holder.

Being from the Tampa Bay Area myself I am hype to see how the community and project of “Billionaire Bones Club“ continues in the future, especially with some of the high profile members that are already in the club. I have my eye on a couple of the bones, so fingers crossed on joining the club soon.

Class Started 2 Hours Ago, Oh Am I Late

Second2None connects with the inner graphic design nerd in all of us with their latest “PS Saved My Life” hats.

Second2None is one of my favorite brands out of FLA. The “Ps Saved My Life” hat comes in a black and grey color way featuring the reverse color on the brim. For some reason the hat gives me “Breaking Bad” vibes but that could just be the periodic table looking “PS“ logo.

My favorite color way has got to be the grey one. Any grey piece that Second2None drops is essential for me. I really dig the baby blue Second2None word mark on the back.

The black color way is still a vibe, the font on the hat really stands out on the black. Plus that grey brim is always the way to go.

These hats as well as some other 1 of 1 pieces are still available on the Second2None site. Don’t sleep on this release, the brand usually doesn’t restock so once they gone they gone.

SAFDS

An amalgamation of his own experiences and passions, Scott Andrew Fisher’s SAFDS “Laid Back Luxury” vibe is a representation not only of the brand but also the man behind it.

From furniture, and clothing, to fine art and coffee, Fisher is able to balance all of his passions under one design studio. With SAFDS, Fisher is now able to build on his influences with his own work now, rather than focusing on outside projects.

Kicking off the inaugural drop from SAFDS are these heavyweight two toned sweatshirts. Available in natural and black color ways the sweatshirts feature stitched SAFDS branding in a red font. With winter season in full swing I for sure have my eye on that black and red piece.

The SAFDS studio tees are essential for any supporter of the brand and studio. Coming in natural, black, and tan color ways, the studio tee will have you feeling like your a member of the SAFDS family. The tan color way is my favorite in the collection, giving off a simplistic vibe while still staying true to the brands vision.

Tag Tees featuring the SAFDS hem tag on the waistline present the logo in a different way. Most of the time branding is placed on the back or center of a tee, but bringing it down to the waistline rethinks the basic logo tee.

Sourcing out the best coffee beans from Huehuetenago, Guatemala, these limited 1lb bags of roast coffee are a collaboration between St.Pete’s own Bandit Coffee. Personally I am not the biggest coffee fan but I am always in favor of brands getting together for collabs that make sense for both parties involved.

I am really hype to see what the future holds for SAFDS. Down the road I would like to see Pop Ups or some other form of shopping experience that would connect us more with the brand.

REACH Climbing

The homies at REACH are back at it again with the “Phases” collection, which could quite possibly be release of the year.

REACH always nails the shirt and short combo. My shorts game is pretty lite right now the but red “Script” shorts are essentials. I really dig the white and matcha color pairing on the shirt and shorts, making the perfect 1,2, punch. Featuring 3-D puff print on 100% Cotton tees & 80% cotton 20% polyester shorts.

My favorite thing about REACH is with every release they always stay true to the brand and the core elements that represent the brand. The crawling “Keith Haring” inspired figures going up the giant hand says it all, you could see this shirt and not even notice the REACH branding at the bottom and be like “Oh damn, is that a REACH” piece. They could have went a bunch of different ways with the tee but I feel the white fits best with that matcha color way they got going on.

They had me at the shorts. Off rips I was going to just pick up the shorts, but you gotta get the entire REACH pack if you truly want the full experience. I know once I get my hands on these shorts, I’m going always rock them. The graphic hits different on the matcha background.

This is a can’t miss release for any supporter of REACH. Despite the colder months ahead of us, the matcha color way on this drop falls in line with the winter time vibes. Everything is Made In REACH.

Modes Of Persuasion

Offering supporters an alternative way to view his upcoming NFT collections, Robert Gallardo opens his metaverse art show titled “Ethos Pathos Logos”, featuring his recently minted “Logo Flips” and “All Falls Down” collections.

Despite being created a few years back, both the “Logo Flips” and “All Falls Down” collections find new life in the metaverse, giving the pieces a more visceral experience. Rob just minted these collections on Opensea, allowing supporters and friends to finally get their thumbs on a piece of “Grey GOAT” art, much of which was not for sale prior.

Flip logos, flip videos, flip NFTs, gymnastics

While browsing the gallery I felt connected with other spectators despite viewing the pieces in the Metaverse, it was like we all were at opening night of the gallery as a community. Viewing the pieces in the Metaverse gave me a greater appreciation for the collection, and the story Rob is telling with it. Pieces like “Diet Woke” a flip on “Diet Coke” and “Chains” a flip on “Chase”, hit even harder in Web3.

With the latest minting of the “All Falls Down” collection and then viewing the collection again as part of this gallery, it’s crazy to think how slept on these pieces are. From the “Takashi Murakami” piece, to the very nostalgic “Toy R Us” piece, all the classics are on display. The real crown jewel of the entire gallery for me would have to be “Notification Overload”. We all want to have a bunch of followers and see a bunch of hearts on our IG but what if it was non stop, constantly blowing up your phone.

Rob continues to push the boundaries of Web3, I would love to see possibly a gallery featuring the recently minted “The Smiley Project” or the rumored “Purple Children” covers featured in Metaverse Gallery form. It would be really dope if we could some how chat with people live in the gallery to discuss the pieces or comment on them. $GREY is the future.

Yung Muji- True Harmony

Following up his massive bilingual hit song “Oyasumi”, Yung Muji teams up with Teen Slug to drop his debut album “True Harmony”.

The intro track “President Muji” sets the tone for the style and sound of the rest of the album. The cloudy and digital sounding production provided by Teen Slug pairs great with Muji’s flow and delivery. I can’t wait to see the visuals for this track, it’s my favorite on the project.

Hitting the listener with back to back pressure “Pearls” is the next joint. I love Muji’s confidence on the track, just flexing on everybody. Teen Slug killed it on the beat adding in that spaced out vibes. The visuals for this track are pretty dope as well so check out the video.

Things get a little more hype on “Right Now” wok others dudes getting mad at Muji for taking their lady. The atmospheric beat and thumping bass from Teen Slug make this one a certified banger.

“Forever” was a nice change of pace after the more braggadocious tracks previously. The vocals from Muji add to the layered beat from Teen Slug.

The beat for “In My Zone” might be my favorite. The “Yung Muji Comeback” is essential. Muji nailed the cloudy vibe of the project but especially on this track. You really feel like your in the clouds smoking with Muji and Slug.

You already know Muji had to do one repping the home town. I really mess with Muji’s rhyme scheme on this joint. He floats over the whimsical beat from Teen Slug. Muji always puts the 813 on his back not only in his music but in his movement. Shout out eightonethree,

Muji hits us with the double time flow on the intergalactic “Starfox”. Fans of the classic Nintendo game with instantly recognize the Fox references. This real red dot music.

The project ends with the more mellow track “Growing”. I feel this track really puts the album into perspective. Coming off such a huge song like “Oyasumi”, who knew what direction Muji was going to go in but he for sure has should growth and solidified himself as the future of the Tampa Bay Hip Hop scene.

“True Harmony” is one of my favorite projects of the year. From Muji’s presence on the mic to Teen Slug ushering in a new wave of production, I can’t wait to see what the duo has next up their sleeve. You already know it’s Grey Gang.
